Josie~ I just finished reading Tickle Monster to my seven year old son, Christopher. It was the most fun we have ever had reading together! I am not kidding either. It was a lot of fun. We liked when you had to turn the page to find out where you would get tickled next! I just had to drop you a quick line to tell you how wonderful this book is! Tickle Monster is yet another children's book, written by yet another celebrity (think back to Melrose Place). Celebrity-written kid's books tend to be really good or really bad. This one is really good. A lovable monster flies in on his spaceship from planet tickle. This funny tale, with a rolling, rhythmic tone leads children and their parents though his mission - to tickle unsuspecting children before returning back to his home planet. Parents do the tickling, children to the following along and laughing. The rhymes are cute and the story is simple enough for kids to guess what happens next, but charming enough that it's tolerable to read over and over. Bright and bold illustrations complement the story. Add the parent interaction to illustrate the story's words in person, and you have an instant bookshelf classic that will become a story time staple.

Brady (my 18 month old) loves this book - he giggles his way through it and loves the mystery of each new tickle area! This book is not only fun to read but interactive and engaging. We read it over and over and I just love to hear him laugh - he even starts screeching in anticipation of the next page. We BOTH have fun reading it!

I met Ms Bissett at the LA book Expo. I stood in line for an hour to get a copy of the Tickle Monster signed for my 3 year old son. It was well worth the wait! She was as sweet and as gracious as I had hoped and I can't say that about every celebrity that was there signing books. In my opinion, The Tickle Monster is the best children's book I've seen in a long time. My son Ryan can't get enough! He get's laughing so hard that it makes me laugh! Thank you Josie Bissett!

My grand kids and I love this interactive book! From a Grandparents view any chance to kiss and hug and make my grandkids laugh is a treat. In reverse the kids love to try out the tickle thing with me too and I'm always so delighted. Hearing children's laughter is the voice of happiness... love the book!! Hope there are more to come!

This book has such a great lyrical rhythm to it. The illustrations are adorable. Who can resist a cute little blue tickle monster? My four year old son absolutely loves this book. The anticipation of each turning page is so much fun. He laughs and laughs! Even my one year old daughter gets into it. The laughter is positively contagious. Before long we are all laughing and rolling around. After everyone gets utterly exhausted from giggling, the book winds down and ends on a very calming sweet tender note. This makes it not only a fun book for play time but also a perfect book for bed time.

My Mom saved almost every book and toy from my childhood. She knew someday that grandkids would fill the house. As I go through her library of books there are a small few that radiate special warmth. The details have faded, but I can still clearly feel the love that was shared at the time of reading. My guess is that Tickle Monster will evoke that same feeling for my son when he's grown... that is if the book survives all our tickling!

I read this book to my 2 year old cousin Zoe and she could not get enough! Even after I put it down she picked it up and went through just to look at the adorable illustrations. I love that it's interactive and can't wait until the mitts are available...I have a feeling that my hands will constantly be fuzzy and blue when I am around her!

I love, love, love this book!! It's such a fun book to read with children and can span many years of reading because it's so playfully interactive, all ages will enjoy it! It brings back memories of the most fun I had reading to my son. What a classy children's book with catchy phrases, great layout and style, and a fabulous add-on set of gloves with which to tickle kids...a Dr Seuss'ish type of read. Grandparents are going to love reading this book to their grandchildren. And parents are going to love the interactive giggles they get using the fuzzy mittens (which I have only seen mentioned on her personal website www.josiebissett.com). Josie has tons of creativity, having already been an actress and now taking her lessons as a parent and turning it into a funny, yet stylish, kids' book. It's not just another actor turned author sort of book. Hopefully she'll keep on writing for kids. The cover is way cool, and makes this a book you can leave on the coffee table for all to see...and more importantly pick up and read to kids as they are running around the house

All I have to do is say, "Time for bed - let's read Tickle Monster" and off they go running upstairs giggling all the way (even though I haven't even started tickling them). We have 4 kids and hundreds of books in our house. This one is our family FAVORITE, because it's such a fun way to end the evening after a long day of work and school. The kids decided they like the Tickle Monster to get Mom too, so I usually get tickled from head-to-toe. Let's just say it's the most interactive, silly, goofy and giggly book on the shelf. Tickle Monster does a great job of delivering anticipation. As you read through the clever, rhythmic rhyming pages, the book builds up to a new body part that you will tickle. Our kids start squirming and laughing before the page is turned knowing that something somewhere is coming - but they don't know what! I will be giving this book as a gift for future baby showers and birthday parties because it's a rare find that kids will remember for a lifetime.

Hi Josie, Hope you are well. Just had to send you a quick note--Kana's sister, Ciara, LOVES Tickle Monster. When she heard there were Tickle Monster mitts, she decided that's what she wanted to use her allowance on (she had been saving for 'something special' for a while). So off we went to Bellevue Art & Frame this afternoon. She was so excited, she wore them home from the store and then couldn't wait to read the book again. She had Japanese class later this afternoon, but insisted on bringing her mitts in the car. Now her friends in class know all about them too. It's now 9:30 p.m. When I tucked Ciara in for the night half an hour ago, she was just holding her favorite puppy. Well, I just checked on her--she was sound asleep, now holding Puppy with her blue furry hands! It was such a funny sight, I just had to snap a photo! I know this probably wasn't the original purpose of the mitts, but just wanted to let you know how much she loves them! :)
